Philip Hawken
Philip Hawken has led business development, strategy, human resources and corporate operations throughout his more than 20-year career. At Hawken Harbor, Phil leads client engagement projects and develops actionable strategies and operational plans. He currently oversees all aspects of HR for Georgetown Events and is a strategic advisor to H2 Management. As a founder and executive team member for multiple entrepreneurial efforts, Phil has experience in client development, project management, human resources, internal planning and operations. For more than 10-years, he served as COO for the independent record label ESL Music and their marquee band, Thievery Corporation.
Kate Hawken
Kate Hawken has focused on strategic communications throughout her 20-year career. She is a creative, forward-thinking leader who embraces all forms of media. Skilled in internal and external communication strategy, media relations, social media, writing, video production, executive positioning, event and crisis management, she effectively oversees teams, competing deadlines and multiple partners’ needs in a fast paced, evolving media landscape.
Kate currently leads marketing and communications efforts at Social Solutions International, Inc., a full-service management consulting firm focused on development projects in emerging countries. Previously, she led public relations for Nat Geo Wild TV and for Discovery Channel's television programming. Kate earned an Emmy for her work promoting Discovery
Channel's Planet Earth series. Prior to moving to the world of television, she was a Director of Communications at America Online and began her career with Brodeur Worldwide Public Relations, working directly with clients in developing PR strategies for their businesses.
